Scottsboro and Jackson County residents have come together for "Trade Days" over 100 years to barter, buy and swap goods.
  
The newest attraction is the 50,000 sq ft Unclaimed Baggage Center with clothes, rare violins, and even an Egyptian mummy's tomb.
  
Another area attraction is the Battle of Bridgeport, the largest Civil War reenactment in the state.
  
Scottsboro also boasts an $18 million high school. Jackson County and Scottsboro school systems rank in the top 15% of the state's schools. Northeast Alabama Community College meets local higher education needs.
